What is a Blocked account?

Blocked account is the special account for visa applicants in which the student must deposit a minimum of 10332 euros. This ensures the student has financial backing for his first year in Germany. The funds get locked until the student arrives in Germany. You can withdraw up to 861 euros per month with a minimum deposit of 10332 euros. The amount can go higher if you have deposited over 10332  euros into the blocked account. They require the student to open an account in Deutsche Bank and transfer the funds into the account.
